Conservatory refurbishment for Maidenhead homeowners

Having a part of your home which is unusable is extremely frustrating. This is exactly the situation that the A’Court family found themselves in with their old lean-to conservatory. Their 1980s built conservatory was severely lacking in terms of both performance and appearance. The glazing was inefficient and not to their tastes while the polycarbonate roof made the interior noisy whenever it rained and did not trap the heat inside. All in all, it was in dire need of some TLC.

Professional preparation

To start the installation project, we removed the existing white uPVC windows and doors and extended the base of the conservatory to join the exterior wall of the garage. Next, we built new brick pillars to support the new glazing and roof system and to create a more permanent feel and improve efficiency of the enhanced extension.

LivinRoof luxury for this Maidenhead home

The A’Courts chose a LivinRoof for the improved extension’s roofing option. The Urban grey exterior colour is stylishly neutral and perfectly complements their relatively modern home while they chose to have glazed areas on the side sections of the LivinRoof to avoid privacy being jeopardised due to the position of a neighbour’s upstairs window.

On the interior of the LivinRoof, we plastered the main ceiling section and perimeter ceiling to create a stylish and cosy feeling. We incorporated contemporary spotlights into the perimeter ceiling and ensured that all ceiling areas were fully insulated to maximise thermal performance levels.

Stylish uPVC sliding patio doors

To complete the conservatory renovation project, we fitted a set of four-part uPVC sliding patio doors. The A’Courts opted for dual coloured entrance doors for their new extension entrance doors. They selected Anthracite grey for the exterior to match the finish of the Urban grey LivinRoof while inside they opted for white frames to enhance the overall brightness of the extension’s interior.

The A’Court family are now thoroughly enjoying their improved extended living area. They were very positive about their experience working with us and left us this glowing testimonial:

‘Oakley turned an old 80’s conservatory into an awesome extension to my living space. Everyone in the team was great, Andy Hughes was friendly, helpful and always around to answer my questions. The onsite team involved were all top-notch; started work early and ended when it got dark. Everything was done on schedule. I’m really chuffed with the work, thanks all.’
